Mr. Vargas has over 17 years of diversified real estate experience with the past 15 years focusing on the appraisal of real estate in the Metropolitan Area. In particular, Mr. Vargas is recognized as one of the most experienced professionals in the appraisal of Luxury, Complex residential real estate including cooperatives, condominiums, single-family residences, and small income properties. Mr. Vargas received his initial appraisal training while in the employ of a large California-based lending institution, Home Savings of America. In 1995, he joined the Manhattan-based firm of Mitchell, Maxwell & Jackson. Mr. Vargas later joined Cushman & Wakefield, Inc. as the principal residential appraiser and director of Residential Valuation Services (RVS). In 2003, Mr. Vargas and partner Andrew Fautley formed Vanderbilt Appraisal Company, LLC, a regional appraisal and appraisal management firm specializing in residential and commercial property in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and South Florida.

Appraisal Experience
Mr. Vargas has performed or reviewed in excess of 20,000 appraisal assignments including condominiums, cooperatives, single-family & multi-family housing, development rights, mixed-use properties, medical/professional offices and residential feasibility and conversion analysis within the Metropolitan/Tri-State Area since 1993. Mr. Vargas has consulted with many high profile clients, law firms and prominent lending institutions regarding real estate holdings. Mr. Vargas has experience as an expert witness having completed many depositions and recent testimony in Surrogates Court, Suffolk County as well as the U.S. District Court Southern District.
